DNA programme details 2024-2025

DNA’s work is delivered via two strands:

1. ‘Dancing for Joy’

This initiative caters to a broad spectrum of individuals, including older adults, those with specific lived conditions, such as Dementia and Parkinson’s families, young people, and individuals facing other health challenges. Under this strand, we've developed five distinct programmes: Dance for Older Adults Dancing with Dementia Dancing with Parkinson’s, Dancing with Families, Intergenerational programmes

2. ‘Dancing for Schools’

This encompasses five programmes designed to engage and enrich school communities: Mass Dance Holiday Activities and Food Fund (HAF) BE:Spoke workshops including after-school provision ConfiDance Teachers Networks

Alongside both strands DNA aim to share practice through annual get-togethers in the form of a conference. Our most recent conference was a collaboration with CoDa Dance Company entitled Dance and Technology Experience Day (specifically looking at our groups with Parkinson’s)
